Project Brief

The Sierra Desk offers Sierra Chart studies, custom indicators, and trading tools that help traders work confidently without coding. The goal was a full site build in Etch where everything, from structure to advanced product and service filtering, would be functional and smooth across the front end and backend. Emphasis was on reliable filters, reviews, and comments working together with a tight HTML/CSS foundation and purposeful JavaScript where needed.

Challenges

Etch requires a ground‑up HTML/CSS approach, so we couldn’t rely on a traditional theme builder with ready‑made elements.
Every component, particularly the advanced parts like product/service filters, had to be defined and coded manually.
We also needed to make sure backend systems (filters, reviews, comments) worked with AJAX so users could interact without full page reloads, and that the front‑end matched the backend logic seamlessly.

Solution

We built the entire site in Etch using clean HTML/CSS, ensuring pixel‑perfect exactness to design and strong structural logic.

For the product and services pages, we added post filters and product filters with AJAX functionality so users could refine what they see without disrupting the flow.
On the backend, we enabled reviews for products and comments for posts, wiring those into the database and making sure they updated dynamically.
The front end was layered with intuitive JavaScript to handle filter behavior, review interactions, and UI responses reliably across devices.

Results

The Sierra Desk now has a fully functional custom site built in Etch that feels solid and responsive.
Users can refine products and services through smooth AJAX filters without full page reloads, and the reviews and comments functions work in the flow of the site.
The HTML/CSS foundation keeps the build light and future‑friendly, while the JavaScript enhancements make interactions feel natural and intentional. This setup supports both current needs and future extensions as the project grows.
